Plasma collection and EP plasma preparation

EP PLASMA PREPARTATION

A blood component analysis is an important diagnostic tool for detecting diseases.  A variety of reliable tests require accurate plasma separation, also sheep plasma substrate is useful for heparin testing.

Plasma generation and separation from cells are two crucial steps in optimizing the performance of test devices. Blood separation reduces interference of cells in the detection of analyses while improving the sensitivity and selectivity of lateral flow assays.

Anticoagulants are medicines that prevent blood clots from forming. To reduce the risk of serious conditions such as strokes and heart attacks, they are given to people at high risk of blood clots. It is necessary to measure plasma heparin to monitor anticoagulant therapy. To test anticoagulant and thrombolytic activity in vitro, sheep plasma is used, along with clot lytic rate assays. Using sheep plasma as plasma substrate in the assay for heparin is appropriate if, under the conditions of the assay, it clots within a reasonable time and has reproducible dose-response curves.

At Da-Ta Biotech, we offer special plasma separation services for heparin batch control and for biomedical developments. we can design plasma assay for heparin or other assays that suits your diagnostics or research needs.
